Yes, I’ve lived here for 16 years. My big sister was at the University of Sussex and I used to come down at weekends. I worked in London, starting as exhibition manager at the Mall Galleries and then in
various roles around arts in business. When my husband and I decided that we wanted to live somewhere else, we thought ‘right, Brighton it is’.
How did you get involved in Phoenix Brighton?
I got the job as studio manager three years ago and it was like coming home. There are 100 studios and about 120 artists. The artists collective bought the empty office building 21 years ago and initially they ran it together. It became a charity about 15 years ago.
